LeBron James gets his wish, free ice cream on Gateway Plaza Tuesday night

CLEVELAND– Now, it’s really a party.
On Tuesday, the Cavaliers will raise their championship banner right before the Indians play Game 1 of the World Series across the street. It’s a Cleveland sports fans’ dream come true.
But last week, LeBron James joked there was only one thing that could make the night better.
“It’s going to be great. From the fans’ perspective, is there any better way? I don’t know, maybe having an ice cream truck outside both arenas at the same time as well? Icing on the cake,” James told reporters with a smile.
Blue Bunny decided to make that dream a reality. A semi-truck will be parked on Gateway Plaza Tuesday night, giving out free ice cream to fans.
“As soon as LeBron, one of the most playful basketball players in the league, made the request, Blue Bunny Ice Cream jumped at the chance to join the fun,” the company said Monday morning.

LeBron James can't help but brag about being so good at 'Uno'

If his Instagram stories are to be believed, LeBron James is great at Uno. James, Chris Paul and their spouses played some Uno on Saturday, and James couldn’t help but brag about winning. “Oh, I forgot to mention,” James said to his phone. “I’m about to win — againUNO-ooh-woah!”
“Yo, when I tell you, I cannot lose, dawg,” James said in another clip. Meanwhile, Chris Paul rebutted him in the background saying, “You just lost twice! He lost twice!”
Here’s a proposal: If LeBron is as good at Uno as he claims he is on Instagram, let’s see him play a couple games with the Atlanta Hawks, who famously revealed they have Uno rivalries within their roster. In fact, instead of a regular NBA season game, let’s have the Hawks and Cavaliers settle their differences with Uno — each team has two representatives: Kent Bazemore and Dennis Schröder for the Hawks, and James and J.R. Smith for the Cavaliers. And they play it with the Hawks’ ruthless rules: Add more “Draw,” “Reverse” and “Skip” cards to the deck, because whoever drops those is a horrible monster.
We, uh, may have made a case for Uno as an actual sport.

Report: LeBron James Working on Improving 3-Point Shot During Offseason

LeBron James 3-Pointer Warriors
Having made continuous improvement in one of the cornerstones of his career, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James is planning on spending this offseason working on an area of his game that could make him dangerous from anywhere on the floor.
According to general manager David Griffin, that area is his 3-point shot, with his teacher on the effort being new assistant coach and former teammate Damon Jones, who connected on 39.0 percent of his long-range shots during his career.
James has seen his numbers in this category drop each year after a high of 40.6 percent while with the Miami Heat in 2012-13. Since that time, the percentages have fallen to 37.9 percent the next year, 35.4 percent in his first season back with the Cavaliers and 30.9 percent last season. The latter number marked his lowest percentage since his rookie year in 2003-04.
James did improve those 3-point numbers this past season to 34.0 percent in the playoffs. However, being able to use him as a long-range weapon consistently this year would force opposing defenders out of the paint and would potentially open up shooting opportunities for other teammates.
Jones is expected to instruct James in focusing on the catch-and-shoot method, a style that’s also favored by J.R. Smith. Following in Jones’ footsteps would mean that James would be bending his knees on such shots and keeping a compact shooting motion.
The single-season record for James when it comes to 3-pointers is 132 in 2008-09. If Jones is able to transform James’ mechanics, that record figures to be obliterated and the Cavs will have a new weapon to battle the revamped Golden State Warriors.

LeBron James Vs. Stephen Curry: Who’s The Sexier NBA Player?

Golden State Warriors Jersey

LeBron James and Stephen Curry are the hottest NBA players in the league. They’re super talented on the court and super fine. But who is sexiest? Check out their hottest pics and vote!

LeBron James, 31, and Stephen Curry, 28, are fighting it on the court once again in the NBA Finals. Both the NBA players are two of the best basketball players ever, and they also happen to be insanely hot. Is LeBron or Stephen the sexiest basketball player? VOTE!
LeBron has been the face of the NBA for years now. The Cleveland Cavaliers player has only gotten better looking with age. But it’s not just his talent on the court that makes LeBron sexy. He’s an amazing father to three little ones with Savannah Brinson.
What took our love for LeBron to a whole new level was his performance in Trainwreck. LeBron, who looked incredible in skintight sweaters in the movie, completely stole the show. He held his own with actors Bill Hader and Amy Schumer.
LeBron’s confidence and dedication just makes him that much hotter. He shook that penis flashing scandal right off! He’s just so smooth!
But LeBron’s got some competition on the court in the form of Stephen Curry. Stephen has been kicking butt and taking names with his insane 3-pointers and rousing performances on the court. Even though he’s been caught in the middle of a flirting scandal after Roni Rose made during the NBA Finals, Steph has stayed calm, cool and collected.
And it doesn’t hurt that Stephen’s really easy on the eyes. Those hazel eyes will make anyone swoon. He’s just so cute!
Plus, he’s really the perfect family man. He’s married to the gorgeous Ayesha Curry and has two beautiful daughters — Riley and Ryan. He loves his family so much, and that makes us even more obsessed with him.
HollywoodLifers, who do you think is the hotter player — Stephen or LeBron? Let us know!

LeBron James: J.R. Smith Has ‘Ultra-Green Light’ to Shoot Threes

People initially laughed at the Cleveland Cavaliers when they nabbed J.R. Smith, but he’s proven to be a valuable contributor and superstar teammate LeBron James says that Smith can launch three-pointers to his heart’s content.
Smith drilled seven of them Wednesday night, as the Cavs routed the Atlanta Hawks in Game 2 and made a record-breaking total of 25 treys.
Smith connected on a franchise playoff record six 3-pointers in the first half.
Per the Akron Beacon Journal:
It was the second time in this postseason that Smith hit seven 3s. The last time was on April 20 in Game 2 of the first-round series against the Detroit Pistons, when the Cavs tied a playoff record with 20 3-pointers. That mark was eclipsed on April 24 when the Golden State Warriors hit 21 against the Houston Rockets. […] “He is known to always make tough shots,” Cavs center Tristan Thompson said. “The 9-1-1 [shots]. The one’s where you’re like ‘No-no.’ But he is great at it. He squares his shoulders up. His leg might be off balance and he might not have proper mechanics, but he knocks them down. It was fun to watch.”
When asked if the record night at Quicken Loans Arena was his nirvana, Smith downplayed it. […] “Something I would love to see for my play style, but I think the credit goes to how much we work,” he said. “We work on our shots every day and we’re very competitive with one another on shooting the ball. I mean, I’m glad it happened but we can’t settle. Gotta keep moving on.”
Asked what it would be like to play like Smith, James considered it “almost a trick question.” […] “What do you mean by that? Where you can just shoot any shot that you want?” James said. “J.R., he’s the only one on the team that has the ultra-green light. It’s like fluorescent. Coach says, ‘Hey, J.R., shoot! Shoot, shoot it, shoot it, shoot it.’ I just think it puts him at ease, when he’s able just to know, ‘Hey, I’m open’ — or sometimes when guys are even not close enough — just to let it go.”

Kobe Bryant, LeBron James on Lauren Jackson: 'She's the greatest'

LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant are three of basketball's biggest names and fierce competitors, but the NBA stars all agree on one thing: Lauren Jackson is one of the greatest players in history.
Jackson, 34, retired on Thursday after making the gut-wrenching decision to draw the curtain on a career that has seen her conquer almost everything in the international game.
She said doctors told her last week there was "no way" she would be fit to play at the Rio Olympic Games later this year, and when they said that: "I broke down in tears."

It ends one of the greatest sporting careers of any Australian female athlete and arguably the country's best basketballer.
James, Bryant and Durant spoke to Fairfax Media at the London Olympics in 2012 when Jackson was Australia's flag-bearer for the opening ceremony, adamant she had created a legacy that would stand the test of time.
James even described her as similar to NBA most valuable player and championship winner Dirk Nowitzki.
"She is close to the top," James said when asked where Jackson rated in women's basketball history.
"There are all these great players around her, but Lauren Jackson is definitely up there.
"She's won a WNBA championship with a great team in Seattle, she's really good.
"She reminds me of Dirk in our league, someone who is taller than everyone else but has the shooting ability of a point guard or shooting guard … I think it's awesome [she's carrying the flag]."
Bryant rated Jackson in the top three female players in history.
"Everyone I talk to has her in the top three - and I mean everyone. I've got so much respect for [Jackson]," Bryant said.
"I think it is a tremendous honour for her, she's been doing it for a number of years and it's a sign of respect for the way she's done it and conducted herself and I'm very happy for her."
Former Australian Opals coach Jan Stirling said Jackson broke down barriers of race and gender to be regarded as the world's best.
At her peak she commanded contracts worth more than $1 million per season. She's won titles and MVP awards in Australia, Europe, the United States and Asia.
Jackson said basketball had been "the love of my life" and Opals coach Brendan Joyce said: "You can't replace the greats" ahead of Australia's first Olympic campaign without Jackson since 1996.
Oklahoma City Thunder star Durant described Jackson as "amazing to watch" - not a bad compliment from one of the highest-profile players in the world's toughest league.
"She is right at the top, she is an unbelievable player and versatile so that she can do just about everything on the court," Durant said.
"It's amazing to watch her … our women's team is pretty good, but anything can happen in these Olympics, so hopefully our women's team stays strong and they're looking good now."

LeBron James says he's 'obsessed' like UFC star Conor McGregor

(Jerome Miron / USA TODAY Sports)
LeBron James appears to be all in on the Conor McGregor bandwagon.
On Wednesday, the same day McGregor gave a charismatic (and threatening) press conference ahead of his fight against Rafael dos Anjos, James posted a quote attributed to McGregor to his Instagram page.
The sentiment, when it comes from McGregor, makes a little bit of sense. McGregor is a 5-foot-9 guy. He has real talent and was born with unbelievable coordination and reflexes, but he’s still 5-foot-9.
James also worked incredibly hard, harder than most people will ever know. You don’t become a professional basketball player, or the best and most consistent player of the last 25 years, without working incredibly hard.
But talent with James? There’s talent there. There’s real talent. He’s 6-foot-8 and runs like a point guard, and he’s got one-in-a-million hands, endurance, balance, coordination … there is talent there. Same with McGregor. I understand why athletes can’t think that way, because if you think you can get by on your talent you stop working, but for us sitting on the sidelines, it’s OK for us to admit it.
